The investigation by the Fiscalía General de Justicia de Nuevo León and the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública continued without arrests. On 4 August 2026, a suspect identified as Guillermo “N”, 30, was detained in Escobedo after forensic analysis linked his fingerprints to the robbery. He was placed under a control judge while authorities pursue additional gang members. Part of the stolen jewelry has been recovered, and Ruiz and Echeverry said they will release security‑camera footage to counter claims that the attack was fabricated. The case remains under active investigation.
