Karviná Lodičky area modernization project

Overview

The Lodičky recreational area in Karviná’s Božena Němcová Park, which includes the Lodičky dokořán bar, is slated for a major modernization project. The renovation is expected to cost nearly 50 million CZK and is scheduled to begin this October, with a projected completion date in May of next year.

Planned upgrades include a new roofed structure designed by architect Roman Osika to serve as a hub for cultural and social events. The project will also feature improved amenities such as a bar, expanded hygiene facilities, and upgraded supply access. Additionally, the park’s recreational offerings will be enhanced through an expanded children’s playground, new workout equipment, and new tree plantings. Mayor Jan Wolf noted the goal is to provide higher quality facilities while maintaining the area’s unique atmosphere.
