KDDI point exchange service expansions

Overview

KDDI has introduced new point exchange initiatives in Japan. In mid-October 2026, KDDI and au Financial Service Co., Ltd. announced a promotional campaign for users of the official Tokyo Metropolitan Government app. This campaign allows participants to exchange Tokyo Points for au PAY balances, with rewards in Ponta points distributed to the first 20,000 eligible participants.

Following this, KDDI announced the launch of the ‘Ponta Pass Point Premium Exchange’ service, scheduled to begin on October 29.
