Overview

Following worker fatalities at the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), the company’s Board of Directors and management announced the formation of an Industrial Safety and Occupational Health Task Force. This group, which includes external experts, is tasked with reviewing existing protocols and standards to identify deficiencies and implement improvements. Management stated that workplace risk assessments are being conducted and emphasized that “no operational or production objective can take precedence over the lives of employees.”
