Clarkson clarified that she is currently single and content with her independence, stating, “I love my life right now.” She emphasized that her primary focus is her two children, River Rose and Remington, following the 2025 death of their father, Brandon Blackstock, who passed away in August 2025 after a private battle with melanoma.

Expanding on her decision to remain single, Clarkson stated she is “unwilling” to enter a new relationship at this time, noting that her family is still adjusting to life after Blackstock’s death. She expressed concern that introducing a new partner might “rock their boat” during this transition. She further explained that she values her current routine in New York City, remarking, “I feel like if you’re going to be in a relationship, you have to be willing to give some of your time up — and I am unwilling.”
