Kenan Busuladzic career and injury status

Kenan Busuladzic, a 19-year-old midfielder for Malmö FF, recently underwent a tactical shift under new coach Gaute Helstrup, transitioning from a defensive midfielder to a more offensive box-to-box role.

Following this development, Busuladzic sustained a knee injury during a match against Örgryte IS. The injury occurred in the 20th minute following a challenge with Tobias Sana. Busuladzic was seen in visible pain and required assistance from club physiotherapist David Björkman to leave the pitch after his knee was bandaged.

Concerns regarding the severity of the injury increased after Sana, who has a history of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, reported hearing a ‘plop’ during the incident. While Malmö FF has not released official medical results, there are fears the player may have suffered an ACL tear.

Coach Gaute Helstrup stated that the club does not yet have full information but expressed hope for a recovery. The injury significantly impacts Busuladzic’s availability for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, as he was scheduled to join the squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures.
