Kenya is advancing administrative and infrastructural preparations to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) alongside Uganda and Tanzania. On the administrative side, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has faced legal challenges regarding the 2026/27 league season, with a High Court order requiring a reversion to 2019 regulations for promotion and relegation.
