Khanh Hoa provincial development initiatives

Khanh Hoa province is pursuing diverse development strategies focused on tourism and digital transformation.

In the tourism sector, the province is building a Halal tourism ecosystem to attract visitors from Muslim-majority markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and the Middle East. This initiative includes expanding direct flights, implementing technology at Cam Ranh International Airport to help travelers locate Halal-certified services, and researching a Halal Tourism Alliance. Authorities also plan to increase food safety inspections to ensure compliance with Halal requirements.

Simultaneously, the province is advancing digital transformation efforts, highlighted by the 2026 Digital Technology Festival in Nha Trang. The festival offered residents and tourists hands-on experiences with artificial intelligence, robotics, and virtual reality. It emphasized practical digital utilities, such as QR code systems for tourism information and digital health records, as part of a broader provincial push for digital transformation. To support these goals, Khanh Hoa has established over 2,400 community digital technology teams to promote digital literacy across all villages and residential groups.
