Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary celebrations
Overview
The Kingdom Hearts franchise is preparing for its 25th anniversary with a major exhibition at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. Scheduled to run from February 5 to April 4, 2027, the event is organized by Sony Music Solutions in partnership with Walt Disney Japan and Square Enix. The exhibition will trace the series' history from its inception through various spin-offs, featuring replica Keyblades, immersive theater, and production materials.
Ticket sales for the event include standard admission and special merchandise-inclusive sets, with a lottery system for the latter beginning in October 2026.
In addition to anniversary celebrations, updates regarding Kingdom Hearts IV have been shared. Development efforts include exploring new gameplay mechanics and more detailed worlds, such as a Pixar-inspired setting. To maintain narrative consistency across the complex series, Square Enix has also employed a full-time loremaster to work with the development team.
