Kisela Voda Pink October cancer prevention campaign

Overview

The Kisela Voda Municipality, in partnership with the HEMA-ONCO Association, launched the ‘Pink October’ campaign to promote cancer prevention and early detection.

The initiative began with an educational forum in the Drachevo neighborhood, where medical specialists and oncology professionals provided advice on timely diagnosis. During this initial event, Natasha Babulova of HEMA-ONCO shared her personal experience with breast cancer to increase public awareness.

A second educational forum followed, focusing specifically on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of cervical cancer. This session featured experts such as Prof. Dr. Irena Aleksievska Papeštiiev and Prof. Dr. Violeta Klisarovska, alongside personal testimony from Anita Boškova. The campaign is set to conclude with a ‘Pink Picnic’ on October 4.
