Koźle Port Hafen Hotel renovation proposal

Overview

The city of Koźle Port is evaluating a plan to renovate the historic Hafen Hotel following a failed attempt to sell the property for 1.6 million PLN.

Mayor Sabina Nowosielska has proposed a direct intervention with an estimated renovation cost of approximately 16.34 million PLN. The city intends to seek 12.77 million PLN in funding from the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), which would cover 85 percent of eligible costs, leaving a municipal contribution of roughly 3.57 million PLN.

Upon completion, the building is intended to provide 31 municipal apartments, two commercial premises, and 35 parking spaces. The Mayor noted that preserving the decaying landmark is a priority, stating that while full cost recovery might take 117 years, the investment would pay off in 27 years when considering only the city’s direct contribution.
