Kosy Joint Stock Company stock price decline

Overview

Kosy Joint Stock Company (KOS) has faced a severe decline in its stock price on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. By late September 2026, the stock had hit its floor price for seven consecutive trading sessions, dropping to 18,200 VND. This decline represents a near halving of the company’s market value within approximately one month.

In official explanations to the State Securities Commission and the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the company attributed the volatility to broader negative market trends, reduced liquidity, and difficulties in accessing capital for business operations. The sell-off was further intensified by several securities companies reducing margin lending ratios for KOS shares.

Despite the market instability, Kosy Group maintains that its core real estate development and renewable energy projects are proceeding according to plan. However, the company is facing significant selling pressure, with reports of forced liquidations of shares held by leadership and related parties, including a planned sale of 605,600 shares by Capital Securities Joint Stock Company.
