Kütahya Governor's Emet development initiatives

In early August 2026, Governor Musa Işın of Kütahya Province inaugurated a 9.369 million TL agricultural machine park in the village of Kayı, Emet district. Funded through the EU-backed IPARD III programme and the Turkish Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK), the park provides a combine harvester, a plow, a roller, a rotavator, a stone-collecting machine, a leveling blade, and a silage machine. The initiative aims to boost productivity, lower costs, and encourage youth and women’s participation in agriculture.

A week later, the governor opened a new stray-animal shelter in Emet and laid the foundation stone for a new government building to provide modernized public services. The shelter, one of four in the province, features indoor and outdoor areas, veterinary services, and social spaces.

These developments are part of a broader push by the Kütahya provincial administration to expand public-service infrastructure. Other planned and ongoing projects include the restoration of a historic caravanserai, road upgrades, the creation of an organized-agriculture zone, the conversion of unused village schools into social centres, a 250 million TL budget for local works, and the construction of 80 km of hot-asphalt road and water-supply improvements.
