The 18th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM 2026) took place at Dataran Merdeka, attracting 43,800 runners from 53 countries. The event functioned as an official early selection trial for marathon athletes competing in the 2027 SEA Games.

For the Full Marathon, Ezekiel Kemboi of Kenya secured the Men’s title, and Ethiopia’s Alemitu Ajema Lema won the Women’s category. Local Malaysian winners included Yeow Ni Jia and Esther Joy Chen Hong Li. Additionally, the ‘Run For A Reason’ initiative raised over RM1.1 million for charitable organizations.
