By early August, the Toyono branch of Uki City confirmed it would no longer accept certificate applications, directing future claimants to use the online system. In parallel, Kumamoto Prefecture and the cities of Yatsushiro have asked volunteer food providers to submit a “cooking‑check sheet” at least three days before meals are served at evacuation sites, extending the post‑2016 infection‑control guidelines endorsed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
