Former player Jason Kelce has expressed support for Juszczyk, describing the ruling as “hypocrisy at the highest level.” In response to the controversy, the NFL and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) issued a joint statement clarifying that players will not be disciplined for on-field celebrations that imitate the act of drinking a beverage. While gestures depicting violence, weapons, smoking, or drug use remain strictly prohibited, the new guidance aims to provide clarity regarding celebration rules. Following Juszczyk’s appeal, reports indicate the NFL rescinded his fine, stating the celebration was simulating the drinking of a juice box.
