La Costa municipal educational initiatives

The Municipality of La Costa is implementing various educational developments, ranging from physical infrastructure improvements to student engagement programs.

Infrastructure projects are underway to manage rising student enrollment. These include the construction of new, energy-efficient buildings for Technical School No. 1 in Santa Teresita and the establishment of a permanent facility for Primary School No. 16 in Mar del Tuyú. Other works include expanding Primary School No. 17 in Costa Chica and increasing the capacity of the Municipal School of Fine Arts in Mar de Ajó to support a six-year secondary curriculum.

Complementing these physical developments, the district is conducting the 18th edition of the La Costa School Olympics. This municipal initiative, established in 2009, promotes student integration through sports and arts. The competition recently reached its fifth stage, featuring swimming and recreational activities at the Mar del Tuyú Municipal Pool, with several local institutes currently competing for the top position in the general classification.
