La Dolce Vita Orient Express service expansion

Overview

La Dolce Vita Orient Express is expanding its luxury rail offerings through specialized itineraries and new international routes.

Initial developments included the launch of the ‘Northern Greens’ itinerary in Italy, a four-day tour departing from Rome that combines scenic travel with premium golf experiences. Following this, the service announced a five-day, four-night route connecting Istanbul to Rome via Plovdiv, Sofia, Timisoara, Vienna, and Venice.

The service has further detailed its ‘La Dolce Vita’ luxury train, which features interiors inspired by 1960s art and the ‘golden age’ of Hollywood. Designed by Milan-based Dimorestudio, the train includes 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites, and a restaurant. Available Italian routes include excursions through Tuscany’s vineyards, coastal journeys from Rome to Palermo along the Tyrrhenian Sea, and visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Matera.

Positioning itself within the ‘slow travel’ movement, the company is also exploring the use of hydrogen energy technologies for future developments.
