The festival follows specific rituals, including ‘la pelá’ (peeling) and ‘la plantá’ (maceration). The tradition originated in the 1950s and 1960s, linked to the local María Luisa mine, where workers supplemented their income through peach cultivation. The practice of sharing the punch for free with the community began in 1964.
Festivities included the coronation of the Peach Queen and community gatherings in the Plaza de Los Ángeles. Local officials, including the mayor of La Nava, Inmaculada Morales, and the president of the Diputación de Huelva, David Toscano, attended the celebrations.
