Landman season 3 production begins
Overview
Production for the third season of the Paramount+ oil drama ‘Landman’ is currently underway in Fort Worth and across North Texas. The Taylor Sheridan series follows the Norris family in the West Texas oil industry and is returning following a successful second season that averaged over 14 million viewers per episode in early 2026.
As filming continues, several cast details have been confirmed. Michael Kelly is noted as the “most significant addition” to the Season 3 cast, playing industry titan William Crockett. Returning actors include Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, Sam Elliott as TL Norris, Ali Larter as Angela Norris, and Andy Garcia as Gallino. Demi Moore is also confirmed to return. Several actors, including Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez, and Francesca Xuereb, have been promoted to series regulars. However, Guy Burnet, who portrayed Charlie Newsome, will not be returning.
The upcoming storyline follows the conclusion of Season 2, which saw the formation of a new oil company by Tommy, TL, and Cooper Norris.
Filming has involved local engagement at Texas Christian University (TCU). To ensure authenticity, nearly 30 TCU cheerleaders are participating in specific storylines. Additionally, approximately 30 TCU students studying film, television, and digital media will be permitted to shadow production units to observe the filming process. While production may continue into the first quarter of 2027, Paramount has not yet announced an official release date.
