The sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League ran from 17 July to 8 August 2026. The tournament opened with Jaffna Kings versus Galle Gallants at Colombo’s SSC Grounds, and on 19 July a pink‑themed match between Dambulla Sixers and Jaffna Kings was staged to promote breast‑cancer awareness. Ahead of the season, the league secured a digital streaming partnership with FanCode for India and a broadcast deal with Star Sports, extending its reach across South Asia and other overseas markets. Group‑stage action intensified on 28‑29 July at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, where Colombo Kaps drew level with Jaffna Kings and Galle Marvels maintained a lead over Kandy Falcons. Final group fixtures on 1‑2 August saw Colombo Kaps take on already‑qualified Galle Gallants and Jaffna Kings face bottom‑placed Dambulla Sixers, both matches televised on Star Sports 3 and streamed via FanCode. The knockout phase began with an Eliminator, where Colombo Kaps secured a 68-run victory over the Kandy Royals.
