Overview

Regional sports activities across Latin America continue to focus on infrastructure, youth development, and competitive tournaments.

In Argentina, new initiatives include the launch of the Copa de Entre Ríos in Concepción del Uruguay, the inaugural Copa Jujuy de Boxeo, and the ongoing Juegos Forja program for taekwondo, badminton, and table tennis. In Uruguay, football Clausura matchups include Peñarol hosting Albion and Nacional facing Wanderers, with Liverpool currently leading the championship with 13 points. In the Copa AUF Uruguay, Cerrito moved into second place in Group 3 following a 2-0 win over Cerro.

In the Dominican Republic, the Instituto Nacional de Educación Física (Inefi) is distributing equipment and renovating courts in 30 educational centers across Gran Santo Domingo and San Cristóbal.
