Latvian player participation in ULEB EuroLeague

Overview

The 2026/2027 ULEB EuroLeague season has commenced with a notable decrease in Latvian player representation. Only two Latvian players, Dāvis Bertāns of Dubai and Rodions Kurucs of Baskonia, are participating in the tournament, as other Latvian players have transitioned to the Chinese Basketball Association.

Early season results for these players have been mixed. Bertāns contributed to a 94-87 home victory for Dubai against Barcelona. In contrast, Kurucs and Baskonia suffered an 88-111 loss to Valencia, marking the team’s second defeat in two games.
