Lee Jun-young military service updates

Actor Lee Jun-young, a former member of the K-pop group U-KISS, has been undergoing mandatory military service in South Korea since his enlistment on July 21, 2026.

In early August, social media photos of Lee at his training camp showed him in combat uniform, appearing to have adapted well to military life. During this period, he also confirmed upcoming acting projects, including a special appearance in a Netflix drama and a leading role in a tvN series.

By late August, updates indicated that Lee has been serving as a ‘company commander trainee,’ a role involving maintaining order and relaying instructions among trainees. Witnesses from his training center have described him as ‘exceptionally kind and cheerful,’ and social media has featured him performing a dance challenge to the song ‘BAD’ by ATEEZ.

While his military haircut sparked online speculation regarding his hairline, no official statements have been released concerning these rumors. Prior to his enlistment, Lee completed filming for the tvN drama ‘Four Hands,’ in which he portrays a piano prodigy named Choi Jung-yo. The series is scheduled to premiere on August 29. Lee is expected to complete his service on January 20, 2028.
