Legal congresses in Brazil

Overview

Brazil has hosted several legal congresses focused on various aspects of law. In early August, the Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) hosted the 2nd Brazil-Japan Congress of Private Law, titled “The Evolution of Private Law.” This event aimed to deepen legal cooperation between Brazil and Japan through panels on commerce, investment, consumer law, and the future of the legal profession.

Later in August, Brazil hosted two additional legal gatherings focused on social security and pension law. In Brasília, the 21st National Meeting of Lawyers of Closed Supplementary Pension Entities (ENAPC) addressed private law and pension contracts. Concurrently, the 5th Brazilian Congress of Social Security Law was held in Recife to provide legal updates and professional networking for specialists.
