Li Auto has initiated a strategic investment of 2.65 billion yuan into Sunwoda Mobility Energy, a subsidiary of Sunwoda Electronic. Following this investment, Sunwoda unveiled a new 15C lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system capable of ultra-fast charging. The technology reportedly allows a vehicle to charge from 10% to 97% capacity in nine minutes at room temperature. The system is designed to maintain efficiency in extreme conditions, such as temperatures as low as -20°C, and includes an advanced thermal management system.
