Hugo, a 17-year-old Cape fur seal Steller sea lion and significant participant in European breeding programs, died unexpectedly at the Liberec Zoo in the Czech Republic. A necropsy revealed that the head of a plastic doll was located at the junction of the stomach and small intestine, which likely caused fatal complications.
