Liberia financial crime risk assessment

Overview

Liberia is preparing to launch its second National Risk Assessment (NRA-2) to bolster defenses against money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing. The initiative involves specialized working groups conducting nationwide data collection from September to November 2026.

Led by Mohammed Ali Nasser, the Officer-in-Charge of the Financial Intelligence Agency, the process aims to address risks from new technologies and sophisticated criminal methods. The final report will provide evidence-based findings to the Intergovernmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA).
