Lightning strikes causing livestock fatalities

Overview

Severe thunderstorms have caused animal deaths in Argentina and Colombia. In San Isidro, Argentina, a lightning strike at the Jockey Club de San Isidro killed four polo mares on a training field. The discharge also injured a caretaker and two other horses.
