L&K Bio US spinal implant market expansion
Overview
L&K Bio, through its US subsidiary L&K Spine, has initiated a business execution schedule for its spinal implant products following participation in the North American Spine Society meeting in Texas. The company has been promoting its BluEX-C cervical expandable cage, which received FDA approval in May, and reported reaching 50 cumulative cervical surgery levels in the US market.
To further its presence, L&K Biomed signed a distribution agreement with New Jersey based Precision Spine, Inc. for the BluEX-C device. This follows a previous contract with Medtronic for lumbar expandable cages. The company is also pursuing a ‘New Cervical Project’ in technical collaboration with spinal expert Dr. K. Daniel Riew to develop products for corpectomy, while collecting procedure data to develop future AI-integrated smart systems.
