Local heritage and community events in Rheden

Overview

Local events in Rheden have focused on exploring the area's history and heritage through various community activities.

In early September, programming included a village walk titled ‘Een Rhedens verleden in steen’ (A Rheden's past in stone) to examine the history of stone production along the IJssel river. This was complemented by a presentation titled ‘Toen… en nu’ (Then… and now), which compared former buildings and their modern replacements.

Later in the month, the traditional Rheder Markt was held, featuring an artisanal market, flea markets, and a medieval camp hosted by Clan of Kerry. The festivities also included oldtimer vehicle displays and a horse market.
