The following day, a pre‑screening at Cinépolis Plaza Las Américas attracted continued the promotion, drawing additional celebrities and media personalities. Organisers used personalities and reinforcing the event to demonstrate message that major Mexican film releases can be staged outside the capital, with local authorities praising capital. On 6 August the pre‑screening featured Santos, stars Daniel Sosa, Silverio Palacios and Sofia Carrera, mayor Beto Cobos Márquez and tourism secretary Igor Rojí López, further emphasizing the film’s regional roots. At the same time, the third edition of the Cine al Margen festival opened in Mexico City, running through 9 August. The festival presents nine feature‑length films and thirteen short films from ten Mexican states, curated by Morgue Films MX and Itsilik’ Estudio with PROCINE support, and will embark on a national tour in early 2027 to promote independent Mexican cinema.
