Lola Gaos Awards ninth edition

Overview

The ninth edition of the Lola Gaos Awards, which recognizes excellence in the Valencian audiovisual sector, announced its nominations with the film ‘Eixam’ leading in individual categories. Other notable nominees included ‘Cowgirl’, ‘El mal padre’, and ‘La Pietà’.

Originally scheduled for November 28, the awards ceremony was rescheduled to December 5. This postponement was a joint decision by the Acadèmia Valenciana de l’Audiovisual, the Consell de l’Audiovisual de la Comunitat Valenciana, and the Institut Valencià de Cultura to avoid coinciding with the electoral reflection period for the general elections on November 29. Organizers stated the move was intended to ensure the ceremony receives proper media focus without being overshadowed by political news.
