Los Angeles Rams and Chargers NFL matchup
Overview
The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 24-9 at SoFi Stadium, bringing the Rams' season record to 4-4. This victory marks the first time the Rams have won two consecutive games this season. The win was supported by rushing touchdowns from Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, a passing touchdown from Matthew Stafford, and an 18-yard receiving touchdown by Puka Nacua.
The Chargers fell to a 0-7 season record, which represents their worst start to a season since 2000. The loss extended a 10-game losing streak for the franchise. During the game, quarterback Justin Herbert threw two interceptions, bringing his season total to 10, which leads the league. The Chargers' offense experienced a significant scoring drought, spanning nine consecutive quarters without a touchdown.
In response to the team's performance, head coach Jim Harbaugh expressed a commitment to fixing the team, while offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel remains in his role. In related news, the NFL issued an $8,733 fine to Rams running back Blake Corum for unsportsmanlike conduct regarding a gesture made during a previous game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
