Los Javis professional and personal developments
Overview
The filmmaking duo Los Javis, consisting of Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, has experienced both significant professional success and personal strain surrounding their film ‘La Bola Negra’.
During the production of the film, the duo revealed they faced a severe personal relationship crisis, admitting they felt they were no longer in love and had considered ending their partnership. Despite this emotional distance, they chose to continue their professional collaboration.
‘La Bola Negra’, which explores the lives of homosexual men across different eras of Spanish history, has become a cinematic phenomenon, achieving box office success and an Oscar candidacy.
