Luxury real estate development in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro

Overview

The real estate landscape in Rio de Janeiro’s exclusive Leblon neighborhood is undergoing a transition as a massive luxury mansion in Jardim Pernambuco is being repurposed for modern residential use.

Originally owned by the Amaral family, the 2,500-square-meter estate failed to find a residential buyer despite a R$ 220 million listing. Consequently, the developer Mozak acquired the 11,000-square-meter plot to subdivide the land and construct the Estância Pernambuco condominium. This project aims to create 10 smaller, modern luxury houses with an estimated total sales value of R$ 360 million.

Demolition of the original structure has commenced. Prior to the clearing of the site, various estate assets—including furniture, decorative pieces, and technical infrastructure—were liquidated through auction.
