Madhya Pradesh political criticism of BJP governance

Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has leveled multiple accusations against the BJP-led state government regarding administrative negligence and corruption.

Initially, Patwari alleged a lack of coordination between the state government and the BJP state organization, specifically claiming Chief Minister Mohan Yadav fails to communicate with ministers. He highlighted several public health crises, including deaths from contaminated water in Indore, poisonous alcohol, and fatalities linked to cough syrup in Chhindwara. Patwari also pointed to corruption in tribal welfare schemes and persistent malnutrition.

Following these claims, Patwari continued to demand accountability for recent tragedies, such as a fatal accident on Shitala Mata Mandir Road. He criticized the administration for offering condolences instead of taking concrete action against those responsible for public safety failures. His criticisms have expanded to include concerns over unemployment and electoral integrity, with Patwari stating the Congress party will seek accountability during the November 2028 assembly elections.
