Following Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the industry has continued to highlight emerging talent and historical connections. The EGO runway, a platform for new designers within the Mercedes-Benz circuit, celebrated its 20th anniversary with an edition featuring six debuting brands. Scheduled to run from October 29, 2026, to January 31, 2027, the exhibition will create a dialogue between contemporary footwear and historical pieces, such as Paco Rabanne’s 1967 metal-plate miniskirt. The international presence of the event was underscored by the debut of Colombian designer Isabela ~~Araujo.~~ Araujo Rada. A 21-year-old student at the University for Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT), Araujo presented ~~designs~~ three distinct looks from her ‘Los Relatos’ ~~collection, inspired by~~ collection. The designs draw inspiration from the Joselito Carnaval figure and the cayena flower from the Barranquilla ~~Carnival.~~ Carnival, utilizing ruffles and three-dimensional floral effects to represent rebirth and joy. Her participation reflects the broader growth of the Colombian fashion sector, which reported exports of USD 1,640 million in 2025 and maintains a presence in over 116 international destinations.
