Various manga and anime pop-up shops are being organized in Japan. Shogakukan is hosting the ‘TOKYO MANGA BASE Shogakukan Original Art Festival’ at Ginza Tsutaya Books from September 20 to September 29, 2026. This event features over 100 original art items, including reproduction prints from series such as ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ and ‘BANANA FISH’. For the first time, select items will be available to international customers through the TOKYO MANGA BASE cross-border e-commerce service.
Additionally, Arma Bianca has announced a Gintama TV anime pop-up shop scheduled for October 16 to October 25, 2026. The event will take place at Tower Records locations in Shibuya and Umeda NU Chayamachi, featuring merchandise based on illustrations themed around ‘Japanese-style headphones’.
