Margarita Maza de Juárez educational expansion
Overview
The Margarita Maza de Juárez educational initiative is expanding across several Mexican states. In Tlaxcala, two new campuses are being established in Huamantla and San Pablo del Monte through a federal strategy involving a 16 million peso investment. While permanent facilities are under construction, classes are currently being held in alternative classrooms for an initial enrollment of 74 students.
In the State of Mexico, the Cuautitlán Izcalli City Council approved the donation of a 1,600-square-meter municipal plot to the Federal Government for the construction of a new Margarita Maza National High School, pending legislative authorization.
In Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, the Margarita Maza National Baccalaureate (BNMM) has officially launched. Promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, this program offers free upper secondary education that can be completed in up to two years, providing students with access to the Benito Juárez Scholarship and facilities utilizing solar panel technology.
