During their dinner, Stewart asked about his weekend plans, and Kennedy Jr. mentioned that he would be flying his wife, Carolyn Bessette, and her sister, Lauren Bessette, to a wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. Stewart recalled suggesting that he should have a co-pilot for the trip, but Kennedy Jr. responded that he did not need one. Stewart noted that she has frequently thought about that warning in the years since the crash. In 2026, the lives of the couple were dramatized in the FX anthology series ‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’. At the 2026 Emmy Awards, cast members from the production made notable appearances.
