Argentina has initiated specialized mathematics training programs in the provinces of Entre Ríos and Jujuy to improve student learning outcomes and teacher pedagogical tools. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Education in Jujuy has been advancing the “Matemáticas Somos Red” plan, which utilizes collaborative institutional work to address local educational realities. Recent developments show the continued expansion of these professional development efforts. The CGE has progressed with its virtual training cycle for mathematics teachers within the ‘Secundarias Innovadoras’ network, emphasizing collaborative teaching and mathematical literacy through project-based learning. Additionally, broader mathematical engagement is noted in Tucumán, where the provincial stage of the ATACALAR 2026 International Mathematics Olympiad involved more than 400 primary students.
