By ~~late August~~ early September 2026, the Czech Republic’s infrastructure modernization continues to drive significant transport disruptions and ~~milestones across road and rail networks.~~ milestones. On the D35 motorway, a new 6.2-kilometer section connecting Ostrov and Vysoké Mýto has opened without highway tolls, though the Homole tunnel remains closed until summer 2027. While work continues on the stretch between Džbánov and Litomyšl, the third stage of the D35 feeder road is estimated to cost 2.45 billion CZK. Preparations for the D35 section through the Bohemian Paradise region have been reset, potentially delaying construction until at least 2033. In South Bohemia, the Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) has opened a 3.2-kilometer feeder road connecting the D3 motorway to Český Krumlov. ~~This project, costing nearly 400 million CZK, includes parts of road I/39~~ Additionally, an 8.5-kilometer bypass for Dasné and Češnovic on the ~~relocation of road II/155~~ route from České Budějovice to Písek is scheduled to open on October 3.
