Mexican school supply and textbook distribution
Overview
Educational authorities in Mexico have been conducting large-scale distributions of textbooks and school supplies to prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic cycle.
In Coahuila, the State Directorate of Educational Services began distributing textbooks, kits, uniforms, and shoes during the vacation period. Coordinator María Guadalupe Rodríguez Hernández stated the initiative aims to provide students with necessary tools from the first day of school to improve academic performance.
In the Huasteca Norte region, the Regional Unit of Educational Services (URSEHN) reported that distribution for secondary education levels was 100 percent completed before the school break. As of late August, the agency has delivered 195,342 primary education books across several sectors to ensure resources are available by the start of the term.
