On 29 July, Mexico’s Sistema Nacional de Protección Integral de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes (SIPINNA) issued an urgent appeal to protect a teenage girl who alleged sexual abuse by a teacher who later died. The agency warned of digital harassment and media exposure, urging judicial, educational, media and platform actors to safeguard the minor’s identity and ensure the investigation proceeds without revictimisation.
