Overview

While the proposal does not currently mandate that gas stations stop accepting cash, Article 13 allows the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit to designate specific sectors where digital payment becomes the only accepted method.

Gas station owners have expressed support for the security and efficiency benefits of modernization but have cautioned against mandatory requirements. They noted concerns regarding consumer choice and potential dependencies on electricity, internet connectivity, and banking infrastructure.
