Authorities in Puebla announced a mass suspension of compromised WhatsApp accounts, urging users to keep the official blue‑check badge and avoid third‑party recovery services. Police in Ciudad Juárez reiterated advice to preserve digital evidence in sexting and sextortion cases. The broader regional warnings, including AI‑driven fraud noted by Colombia’s ColCERT, reinforce Mexico’s ongoing strategy to combat digital violence and online fraud.
