Mexico‑Colombia youth employment fairs
Overview
On 8 July 2026 a job fair in Iguala, Mexico advertised more than 350 vacancies aimed at boosting regional employment.
A month later, Mexican authorities in the state of Colima announced three National Youth Employment Fairs to be held on 12, 19 and 26 August in Colima, Manzanillo and Tecomán. Coordinated with the National Employment Service, the events will involve 85 companies offering over 900 jobs with salaries ranging from 9,000 to 35,000 pesos. At the same time, Colombia’s SENA Regional Huila organized the Expo Empleo SENA Joven 2026 in Neiva, presenting over 250 positions as part of a nationwide campaign that aggregates more than 18,000 vacancies across the country.
Together, these snapshots illustrate a rapid expansion of youth‑focused employment fairs across Mexico and Colombia, increasing both the number of advertised jobs and the geographic coverage within a short period.
