Missing persons investigations in Santa Catarina

Separate search efforts are underway for José Kaique Martins de Azevedo, 23, who was last seen on September 15 in the Barra Sul beach area of Balneário Camboriú. Additionally, in Joinville, officials are searching for 62-year-old Antônio Tadeu Rodrigues, who disappeared on September 13. After security footage showed him leaving a bar on a bicycle, his belongings were discovered near the Cubatão River. Volunteer firefighters have deployed sonar to assist in the search near the riverbanks.
