Overview
In August 2026, Missouri held several Republican and Democratic primary elections. For Senate District 6, an open seat, six Republican candidates competed for the nomination, including Amber Buckles, Todd “Ike” Skelton, Derrick Spicer, Lisa Thomas, Rudy Veit, and Jake Vogel.
In other regional races, incumbent U.S. Rep. Jason Smith won the 8th District Republican primary with approximately 86% of the vote, and State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick secured roughly 85.5% in his contest.
